Virtual Divorce Consultations & Mediation Services

At the Law Offices of Audrey A. Jefferis, P.A., we are here to support and serve you, even in the most difficult of times. Even without a global pandemic like COVID-19, dealing with a divorce can be emotionally and financially draining on a family, which is why we do our best to support our clients in every way that we can. To assist clients while we are unable to meet in person, we will be offering virtual divorce consultations and mediation services.

Our firm has extensive experience assisting clients with the dissolution of their marriages and all aspects of divorce including the division of assets, working through spousal support and alimony, child support, visitation and custody battles.

What happens in an initial divorce consultation?

Our divorce lawyers are skilled in consulting through divorce and other family law matters and are dedicated to peacefully reaching win-win settlements whenever possible. In a best case scenario, these proceedings can take place virtually, which means that we are able to facilitate a divorce consultation even during this time of quarantine. In scenarios where a settlement cannot be reached, we will lean on our courtroom expertise to tirelessly advocate and fight for our clients’ best interests.

Private Mediation Services

As a family law mediator since 2001, Audrey Jefferis has helped a number of families come to agreements and settlements without the necessity of going to trial. As a certified mediator in the State of Florida, her goal is to make this difficult process as painless as possible for all parties.

The purpose of mediation is to allow both parties the opportunity and freedom to confidentially make settlement offers throughout the process of a divorce. In these mediation sessions, all matters discussed are confidential and cannot be used at trial, nor can the mediator be called to testify.

What happens in a mediation session?

Attorney Jefferis’ goal in these sessions is to successfully reach a Mediation Agreement both parties feel comfortable with. This is a process that can easily take place over video chat using Zoom meetings or teleconferences. With her extensive experience in family law, Audrey Jefferis has the knowledge and expertise needed to help resolve cases without going to trial or needing to wait for the courts to open up once the COVID-19 risk has been eliminated. She understands that in these unprecedented times, she must adapt to work more seamlessly with her clients, which is why these flexible mediation service options are being made available.
